Honoring Our Roots

Our name, Umiña, pays tribute to the goddess of health in the ancient Manteña culture, a civilization that flourished along Ecuador’s coast between 500 B.C. and 1500 A.D. Umiña was revered for her wisdom and as the protector of her people’s health and well-being.

By adopting her name, we embrace our heritage and reinforce our commitment to the well-being of our community.
